Since 1836, First Baptist Church has been a vital and growing community of believers in Jacksonville, AL. In 1958 the location of the church moved from the public square to its current location. Since that time our facility has taken on many changes due to continued growth. In 1967 two educational wings were built, along with renovations to our sanctuary. Our latest addition was in 1995. We added a children’s wing and an office suite. Since that time we’ve expanded to multiple services on Sunday morning, began a Celebrate Recovery program on Friday night, and most recently began Encounter, a Wednesday night college service on the JSU campus.
